We are excited to announce and welcome Kelly to the THCC team!
Marie L. Yowtz is a Licensed Master Social Worker with more than fifteen years of clinical experience supporting individuals, couples, and families through trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, and emotional distress. She holds a Master of Social Work from Grand Valley State University and has an extensive background in higher education counseling, disability services, crisis intervention, and outpatient mental health.
Marie’s therapeutic style is relational, trauma-informed, and holistic. She integrates evidence-based approaches, including CBT, ACT, and solution-focused
techniques, to create individualized treatment that meets clients where they are.
Her work is grounded in compassion, collaboration, and a deep respect for each person’s story and capacity for growth. She is exceptionally experienced in supporting clients dealing with anxiety, depression, identity and life-transition concerns, complex trauma, and couples or
relational issues. Marie also brings a strong understanding of accessibility, inclusion, and system navigation, offering clients additional support in areas where life and mental health intersect.
Across all settings, Marie’s goal is to provide a warm, steady, and supportive space
where clients can explore, heal, and move toward meaningful change at a pace that
feels right for them.
