Stress comes from your sympathetic nervous system your “fight or flight” response.
The tricky part? It can’t tell the difference between a true life-or-death situation and everyday stress like traffic, work pressure, or family tension.
So your body reacts the same way elevated heart rate, tight muscles, shallow breathing.
That’s why it’s so important to intentionally slow down. When we breathe deeply, relax our muscles, and regulate our emotions, we shift into the parasympathetic nervous system your “rest and digest” state.
This is where healing happens.
Heart rate slows.

Today is a good day to talk about my cancellation policy
Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.
Late cancellations or no-shows may be subject to a fee.
There are a few exceptions to this rule: bad weather (I don’t want anyone braving blizzards or icy roads), illness (please don’t feel pressured to come in sick), and family emergencies.
In these situations, I simply ask that you give me as much notice as possible.
This policy helps me respect my time and gives other clients a chance to book.

Let’s talk about pre & post massage care and how to get the most out of your session
Pre-Massage Tips:
• Stay hydrated, but don’t overdo it right before your appointment you don’t want to interrupt your session with a bathroom break
• Eat a light meal 1–2 hours beforehand (avoid heavy or greasy foods)
• Arrive a few minutes early so you can relax and settle in
• Communicate any areas of concern, injuries, or goals for your session
Post-Massage Tips: • Drink plenty of water to help flush out metabolic waste
• Take it easy avoid intense workouts for the rest of the day if possible
• Gentle stretching can help maintain the benefits of your massage
• Expect some soreness, especially after deep tissue or sports work this is normal
• Pay attention to how your body feels and note anything you want to address next time
Your massage doesn’t end when you leave the table these small steps help extend the benefits and keep your body feeling its best
