TGIF!(?) Did you even know it’s Friday? Do you have a case of the holiday-season/year-end frazzles?

Consider this a reminder to pause… breathe, check in with yourself, and tend to your needs. Maybe that looks like removing some less-urgent things from an overflowing to-do list, asking for support, slowing down to eat something healthy, or stepping away from unnecessary stimulation for a bit.

Whatever you choose, remember that even small moments of grounding, nourishment, and ease can go a long way during busy seasons. Give yourself the gift of a break.

How’s your healing journey going? 🫨👀

No, really. How are you handling the messy moments? The unsettling realizations? The uncertainty that sometimes comes with making changes you know you need, even though they feel scary or overwhelming?

Healing isn’t always calm or cute — but you don’t have to navigate it by yourself. Therapy gives you space to sort through those moments and feelings with someone trained to help you make sense of what’s coming up, and move through the hard parts. The therapeutic process can help you recognize patterns, regulate emotions, and explore deeper layers of your experience — with care and structure.

Support is available. Healing is possible.

Virtual therapy is a flexible and effective way to get support from wherever you are. It’s a great option when you can’t make it to the office, are traveling but don’t want to miss a session, or simply prefer the comfort/privacy of home. Every therapist on our team offers online sessions. Whether you're a new or existing client, you can meet with your therapist in person or online — whichever works best for you.

Therapy isn’t about being (or becoming) perfect. Therapy is a process.

It’s about showing up authentically… being present and putting in the work. It takes time to feel comfortable, to open up, and to find your rhythm. It takes honesty, patience, and reflection. Give yourself permission to adjust, ask questions, and to feel your emotions.

Pay attention to shifts that may begin showing up quietly within yourself as the process unfolds. You deserve to grow, to heal, to understand, and to (re)connect. With the right therapist, meaningful progress is possible — and over time the work can feel easier, deeper, and more effective.

Daylight Savings: “We’re stealing your sunlight.” 🌤
Us: “Cool cool cool…we didn’t need serotonin anyway.” 😅

But seriously. It’s been a couple weeks since the clocks changed for DST…how are you doing with the earlier sunsets and seemingly shorter days?

If darker days have you dragging, you could be feeling the effects of Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD). If you notice your mood dipping as the daylight fades, you’re not alone. SAD (sometimes called “Winter SAD”) affects millions each year — and it’s more than just the “winter blues.” SAD is a form of depression that follows seasonal patterns (most common in winter, but it can occur in other seasons too).

Things like light exposure, movement, connection, and self-care can be essential to getting through. Examples that can help:
☀️ Get outside for natural light when possible
💡 Use a light therapy lamp indoors
🏃🏾‍♀️ Move your body regularly
💬 Stay connected with friends, community, and/or talk to a therapist
