After Chuck got us warmed up and ready the amazing Piano Man Kevin Cavanaugh took his rightful place behind the piano and in true form gave the crowd what they showed up to hear. Always a great time with Kevin

Hangin out with the ladies on our North Memory care unit with a little Jammin with Jeff

Today we had a discussion about all the birds that are coming back and looked at pictures of different backyard birds.

All of our songs today, we’re centered around birds like rockin Robin and bye-bye blackbird After the song we discussed what birds we heard and mentioned

After we were done, we broke out into some old fashion hymns

Starting in March, we will once again have a certified music therapist that will be visiting twice a month But I might just have to keep some jammin with jeff on the calendars

Ash Wednesday marks the start of Lent, a 40-day season of prayer, fasting, and repentance for Christians preparing for Easter. It is a solemn day focusing on mortality, reflection, and spiritual renewal, characterized by the imposition of ashes on the forehead.

Little light on attendance in the afternoon but our Praisercise and Devotion time is one of our most attended and requested activities here at Yorkshire & Stonebridge.

Today our devotion centered around this year’s annual theme called “a living Hope “

It is centered  around 1 Peter 1-3 “ praise be to the god and father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy, He has given us new birth into a living, hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead…”

Throughout the remainder of the year, we will be focusing on our theme “a living Hope”

As believers, our hope is alive. It's grounded in the unshakable reality of Jesus Christ, who defeated death and rose from the grave.

Our prayer is that we let this year be a year where Hope rises in our hearts, shapes our actions,and shines through our lives. We pray also that together we will walk boldly in the living. Hope that we have in Christ..

Our residents really enjoyed Randy

Randy has over 20 years of experience in the music industry, Randy is a seasoned professional who knows how to keep the crowd entertained.

Originally growing up in West Michigan, where he studied music in schools and university, he honed his skills living in “Music City” Nashville, Tennessee, for 15 years, while also taking his talents traveling around the world performing on cruise ships and international stages.

Thank you Randy for brightening up our morning
