Message of Gratitude – Puertas Abiertas
As I reflect on these past few months, I want to share my deep gratitude with everyone who makes Puertas Abiertas possible. I joined the organization in mid-October, and I have been truly inspired by the dedication, care, and passion of our team, who show up every day for our children, youth, families, and survivors, with empathy and compassion.
I am also grateful to our Board of Directors for their support and partnership, and to our community members and partners who believe in this work and walk alongside us. Together, you help sustain and strengthen our mission.
Moments like the one captured in this photo remind us why we do this work. They reflect creativity, hope, and the joy that emerges when young people are supported and encouraged to grow. These moments guide our vision and deepen our commitment to the community we serve.
As we look ahead to the new year, I am filled with hope for what we will continue to build together. With collaboration, care, and shared purpose, we will keep creating meaningful opportunities for our children, youth, and families, while continuing to nurture safe, welcoming spaces for community members impacted by violence to heal, grow, and belong.
Thank you for being part of this journey and for believing in the power of community.

Mensaje de Gratitud – Puertas Abiertas
Al reflexionar sobre estos últimos meses, quiero expresar mi profundo agradecimiento a todas las personas que hacen posible a Puertas Abiertas.
Me uní a la organización a mediados de octubre y he quedado verdaderamente inspirada por la dedicación, el cuidado y la pasión de nuestro equipo, que cada día se presenta con compromiso para acompañar a nuestras niñas, niños, niñes, jóvenes, familias y sobrevivientes con empatía y compasión.
También agradezco a nuestra Junta de Directores por su apoyo y colaboración, así como a los miembros de la comunidad y colaboradores que creen en este trabajo y caminan junto a nosotros.
Momentos como el que se refleja en esta foto nos recuerdan por qué hacemos este trabajo.
Representan la creatividad, la esperanza y la alegría que surgen cuando las, les y los jóvenes reciben apoyo y oportunidades para crecer. Estos momentos guían nuestra visión y refuerzan nuestro compromiso con la comunidad a la que servimos.
Al mirar hacia el nuevo año, me llena de esperanza todo lo que continuaremos construyendo junt@s. Con colaboración, cuidado y un propósito compartido, seguiremos creando oportunidades significativas para nuestras niñas, niños, niñes, jóvenes y familias, y continuaremos fomentando espacios seguros y acogedores para las personas de la comunidad que han sido impactadas por la violencia, donde puedan sanar, crecer y sentirse parte.
Gracias por ser parte de este camino y por creer en el poder de la comunidad.
