Why are we still working so hard to “keep it together”?
Last week, I held space for our second Befriend Your Story session, and my heart is still so full. We spent our time exploring what it means to truly embrace our inner child—not by reliving the past, but by bringing our present-day, healing self to meet the parts of us that worked so hard to get us here.
There is something so incredibly powerful about gathering in community to look at our stories.
When we share the space, we realize:
We aren’t the only ones who learned to be perfect to feel safe.
We aren’t the only ones who learned to stay quiet to avoid conflict.
We aren’t the only ones who are ready to finally set down those old, heavy survival strategies.
We saw so many “aha” moments as people realized that their past reactions weren’t “bad” behavior—they were brilliant, protective, and necessary survival tools.
And now? Now we get to thank those parts for their service, and start writing a new chapter.
We have one session left in this three-part series!
If you’ve been feeling a pull to understand your own patterns, to learn how to regulate your nervous system, or just to be held in a space where you don’t have to “do” anything—you are so welcome here.
🗓 When: March 22nd
📍 Where: Zoom (from the comfort of your own home)
✨ Focus: Befriend Your Story: Taming the Inner Critic
You don’t need to have attended the first two sessions to join us on the 22nd. Come exactly as you are, for exactly as much as you’re ready to share.
