Grand Itasca Clinic & Hospital has been redesignated as a Level III Trauma Hospital by the Minnesota Department of Health, reflecting our continued commitment to providing high-quality, life-saving care close to home.
This rigorous process confirms that our team meets strict standards in training, resources, and coordinated trauma response. In those critical moments known as the “golden hour,” timely access to expert care can make all the difference in survival.
“We are proud to maintain our Level III Trauma designation and continue providing high-quality emergency and trauma care close to home for our community,” said Dr. JJ Germscheid, General Surgeon & Trauma Medical Director at Grand Itasca. “This redesignation reflects the dedication of our physicians, nurses, and support teams who work together every day to ensure patients receive timely, life-saving care when it matters most.”
We are honored to be part of Minnesota’s statewide trauma system, working together to improve outcomes and ensure patients receive the care they need, when they need it most.
