Hey JHB babes it’s me, Josephine! Many changes have occurred over the last year. I sold my salon in Grand Rapids, MI a year after relocating to Southern California! I’m excited for you to come along with me on this journey as I navigate being a licensed realtor and still making time to do what I love, hair.
Styling hair has always been more than that for me. Clients who sit in your chair, this is their outlet. This is their peace. This is where they get to lay their hair down, literally. As a stylist of 15 years I’ve learned to listen to my clients and let them have this moment.
Stylist, we need to be more in tune to our clients.
If you take one thing from this post give your clients the peace they deserve. That means a clean and sanitized space. Enjoyable music at a medium to low level.
Lastly welcome them with a smile!
I’m currently but this is only until God shows me what’s next. But in my mind I prepare a space that feels welcoming and familiar.
