Hi all!
I hope this letter finds you and your family well and in good health. I wanted to reach out to you to discuss the protocols we are following to re-open so we can continue our services to help you. Our commitment to your health and safety is our top priority.
We all know that massage and bodywork require skin to skin contact. We have always done our best to provide a clean environment and infection control has always been a priority for the business. As we navigate life with additional requirements and modify existing measures due to the coronavirus, please help us to support all of our clients by cooperating with some new requirements.
Our practice follows Practice Guidelines recommended by the Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards (FSMTB), along with infection control recommendations made by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
You may see some changes when it is time for your next appointment. We made these changes to help protect our clients and our Massage Therapists. For Example:
When you arrive at the office, We’ll ask that you wait in your vehicle until we text you or call you to come in. This ensures that we don’t have too many people in the reception area at one time due to the limited space we have.
I will greet you when you come in and use a no touch thermal temperature screening to confirm that you don’t have a fever.
There will be a screening process in paper form that you will need to fill out before each appointment. On that form there will also be an informed consent that states, “I understand the close contact with people increases the risk of infection from COVID-19. By signing this form I acknowledge that I am aware of the risks involved and give consent to receive massage from this practitioner.” If you feel ill on the day of your session, there is no penalty for canceling your appointment. Massage is not advised if you have any symptoms of illness.
Please bring a face mask to use while you are in the building and during your massage.
When you enter the office we will ask that you use hand sanitizer or if you prefer to wash your hands in the wash room you can do that as well. There will be sanitizer in the massage rooms and the reception area for you to use as needed.
We look forward to seeing all of you again and we are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we will take to keep you, and every client safe in our practice. To make an appointment, please call the office at 616-942-5664. Our practice is tentatively scheduled to open on Monday June 15. With each therapist having their own schedule and life situations this will vary for us individually. We will also be opening slowly to make sure all the proper steps and precautions are taken to keep you safe.
Thank you for being our client. We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming you back to a safe, therapeutic touch environment
