JOB POSTING: Welcome Desk Support Staff at the Kiesler Wellness Center
Kiesler Wellness Center is looking for amazing candidates to apply for the position of Front reception support. Kiesler Wellness Center works with community members who may have been impacted by mental health and/or chemical addiction.
Welcome Desk Support Staff will be responsible for the following duties:
• Serving visitors at the front desk by greeting, welcoming, directing and announcing them appropriately
• Answering phones, screening and forwarding incoming phone calls
• Directs visitors by maintaining employee and department directories; giving instructions, providing information on resources
• Utilizing electronic medical records to check-in program participants
• Receiving and sorting daily mail/deliveries
• Maintaining office supplies throughout the building
• Maintain a safe and clean reception area
• Maintains security by following procedures; monitoring electronic logbook; issuing visitor badges; locking building at the end of the day.
• Update appointment calendars and schedule meetings/appointments
• Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as taking attendance, photocopying, faxing etc. and other tasks as assigned.
Qualification Requirements
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Email
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Solid communication skills both written and verbal
• Positive energy, reliable, hard-working, and a team player
• Ability to be resourceful and proactive in dealing with issues that may arise
• Ability to organize, multitask, prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment
• High school degree
• Must be able to pass a Minnesota State Criminal Background Study
• Comfortable working with persons impacted by mental illness

I wanted to take a moment to thank Janet Miller for her effort in keeping a former KWC member’s memory alive by coordinating Michael’s Elves. Michael’s elves is a program where families needing some extra magic through the holiday gives some ideas on what their children want for Christmas and community members can “adopt” their elf off of the tree at Kiesler Wellness Center. Janet has coordinated Michael’s Elves for 6 years. Thank you Janet for spreading hope!
