As a trans therapist, Whitney (they/them) shows up to therapy as the human that they are, to get to know their clients and to be part of their growth. They practice as a therapist has grown through the lens of Infant Mental Health which emphasizes the role of relationships and play in healing. What sets her apart as a therapist is her holistic approach to healing and being able to serve the Spanish speaking community. She is fluent in both English and Spanish and the use techniques like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with more relational and mindfulness-based practices. She also uses Dialectical Behavioral Therapy to help clients learn to manage intense emotions, improve relationships, and learn acceptance and make changes.
