HSPA 2026 kicks off April 25, and we couldn't be more excited to be part of it.

Skytron's own Shawn M Flynn takes the opening keynote stage — and if you work in sterile processing, you won't want to miss what he has to say.

Come find us at Booth 938. We're bringing something new this year, and let's just say it's worth the walk.

See you in Baltimore. 🦀

This week at AORN 2026 in New Orleans, two members of the Skytron team took part in a panel discussion speaking to what happens when sterile processing breaks down — and the cost when it does.

Proud of Mike Czechowskyj MSN, RN, MSN, RN — Business Unit Director, Clinical, and Shawn M Flynn M. Flynn — Business Unit Director, SPD for representing Skytron in a conversation that matters to every perioperative team.

If you're in Baltimore on April 26, Shawn will be taking the keynote stage at HSPA 2026. More on that soon.

Day four at AORN, and the expo hall opens one final time this morning.

8:30 AM – 12:30 PM, Halls B2-D, New Orleans.

It's been a productive few days — meaningful conversations with perioperative leaders, familiar partners, and new connections we're glad to have made.

If you're still at the conference, Booth 319 is open until 12:30. Hopefully, we get to see you before the doors close.

AORN is one of our favorite conferences to attend each year.

It brings together perioperative leaders we’re fortunate to work with — and just as often, learn from.

Every year, we walk away with a clearer view of what teams are actually dealing with.
Pain points. Technology gaps. What’s working, and what isn’t.

And as we all know, perioperative leaders tend to be direct about all of it.

We’ll be at Booth 319 and would welcome the conversation — whether it’s integrated OR solutions, modular ceilings, renovations, or new builds.

We’ll also be debuting our new GS50 surgical table.

If you're attending, stop by and say hello.

From the first planning conversation to the day the room goes live, building a cardiovascular imaging suite involves more moving parts than most people expect.

Room layout, boom placement, video and data routing, storage design, infection control — each decision affects the next, decisions made early in the rebuild or renovation process make a big impact.

A well-designed CV suite doesn't just look nice. It reduces staff fatigue, supports faster decision-making, and creates a space patients actually feel confident in.

At Skytron, our approach to CV room design is vendor-neutral. We work with whatever imaging system your facility is already using or planning to bring in. Philips, GE, Siemens, and others — then build infrastructure around it that's designed to be flexible as that technology evolves.

Take a look at this recently completed cardiovascular imaging room.

The Skytron Freedom Boom configures up to five arms from a single mounting structure, with arm lengths up to 115 inches and 360-degree rotation — covering a 19-foot diameter within the room. Equipment carriers, displays, and lights position anywhere within that range without requiring additional ceiling mounts.

283.5 square feet of coverage. One mount.

We've been engineering it this way since the early 1990s.

We're midway through Spring Sales Academy, and this group is showing up.

This session, 8 new reps from 6 different rep firms came together for hands-on training across our full product portfolio — from Sterile Processing to surgical tables, lights, and booms. Led by our Continuous Education Manager, Jeni Daniel, the group is spending two days learning what it takes to walk into a perioperative environment with confidence.

Beyond the training room, the group connected over dinner at Noco Provisions and a bowling event — and if the photos look a little green, that's because they do this right: Sales Academy fell over St. Patrick's Day this year.

We're proud to invest in the people who carry Skytron's mission into hospitals and OR teams every day.

A $20.6 million verdict. 14 surgeries. A career ended.

This wasn't a hypothetical. It was a real person, a real operating room, and a real breakdown in sterile processing.

Shawn M Flynn was an expert witness on the case. He'll be the keynote speaker at HSPA 2026 and will talk about what actually happened — and what it means for every SPD and OR team in the room.

Architects solve one problem. Clinicians experience a completely different one.

Both groups are in the same room. Neither perspective is wrong. But when those two realities aren't fully aligned before construction begins — the gap shows up during real cases.

Our latest newsletter breaks down exactly how that happens, and what earlier coordination could change.
