Mikula Chiropractic, P.C. in Grand Rapids, MI (Plainfield Township) would love for you to join our team! We are seeking a permanent part-time front desk Medical Receptionist to work on Mondays and Thursdays, plus possible fill-in opportunities to cover vacation/sick days.
Monday shifts are 6:45 - 11:00 am, and 1:45 - 6 pm.
Thursday shifts are 7:45 - noon, and 1:45 - 6 pm.
There are no weekend hours.
We offer a warm and welcoming environment, providing chiropractic care and massage therapy to our clients. Our team is passionate about natural healing and healthy lifestyles!
You must possess a warm, energetic, welcoming demeanor and place customer service at a premium. You must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and must excel at paying attention to detail. You must be able to prioritize tasks and be able to work independently with confidence. Tasks include reception and secretarial.
Knowledge and experience working with medical insurance is important and necessary to be successful in this position.
The job details include the following:
* Greeting and checking in patients with genuine, warm enthusiasm
* Timely checking office emails and distributing as necessary
* Scheduling appointments with accuracy
* Communicating professionally with various insurance carriers to determine patient eligibility and benefit information and entering into program.
* Posting charges and collecting copays & deductibles
* Answering a multi-line phone system
* Filing, faxing, copying and performing general office duties
Light office cleaning, including vacuuming, dusting, sanitizing, etc.
The starting hourly rate is $17-18/hour and is determined by knowledge of tasks and experience.
