In my work in healthcare, I’ve seen how emotional and psychological well-being directly influences physical health and long-term outcomes. Advocating for mental health is about creating access, understanding, and spaces where people feel seen and valued.”

We’re honored to introduce Dr. Diana Bitner, Chief Medical Officer at True Women's Health, as a community guest model for the "Breaking the Label" Fashion Show Fundraiser!

Why does mental health matter to Dr. Bitner? “As a physician, I see patients every day who feel isolated, broken, and burdened by mental health concerns. Many women suffer in silence—appearing like everything is fine—while fearing labels like ‘having depression’ or ‘having anxiety,’ instead of recognizing they may be feeling anxiety and simply need coping strategies and treatment options. Mental health challenges can keep women from being fully present in their lives—for themselves, their families, their friends, and their work.”

Why is she walking? “I’m walking to bring to light that mental health is just as important for longevity as metabolic or hormonal health. All facets of health are woven together. I am deeply grateful to my patients over the past 30 years who have taught me what is truly needed.”

Dr. Bitner’s leadership reminds us that whole-person health includes the mind—and that compassion and early support matter.
