This month marks 10 years since Heart to Heart Midwifery began. A decade of walking alongside families through the life changing work of birth and motherhood.
What started as a simple desire to serve women in a more personal, holistic, and faith-filled way has grown into something far beyond what I could have imagined. Over these years, I’ve had the honor of witnessing countless first cries, first breaths, and first moments of love that will echo through lifetimes. Each family, each birth, each story has shaped me and this practice in profound ways.
I have also stood beside families in moments of loss, when love and grief intertwined in the quietest of spaces. Those experiences have deepened my heart for this work and reminded me that every story, no matter how brief, holds immeasurable worth. Each journey, whether marked by birth or by loss, has left its imprint on my heart and shaped this practice in profound ways.
To every mother and family who has invited me into your most intimate moments, thank you. You’ve trusted me with something sacred, and that trust has been the heart of this work. To my staff, my assistants, students, and fellow midwives who have shared this calling alongside me, your support and dedication have been a gift.
Ten years in, my heart is still in awe of the beauty and strength I see in women every day. My prayer is that Heart to Heart Midwifery continues to be a place of peace, courage, and faith for years to come, where birth is honored, women are seen, and families are supported from the very first heartbeat to the very last push.
Here’s to the next chapter with deep gratitude for all that has been, and joy for all that’s yet to come.
