Today’s upper body + hinge strength workout. 💪🏽

Bench chest press:
4 sets x 12 reps
45 lb bar → 55 lbs → 65 lbs → 65 lbs (8 reps)

Bent-over rows:
5 sets x 12–15 reps @ 40 lb bar

Sumo deadlifts:
Total weight = 85 lbs

Lateral & front raises:
4 sets x 12 reps @ 10 lb dumbbells

This is what I mean by “real weight”. Resistance that actually challenges your muscles so they can grow stronger.

I’ve lifted heavier in the past, but right now I’m building back up and that’s part of the process.
You don’t have to lift what I lift.

Balanced Plate check.

Spinach🥬 is low in carbs but high in nutrients. It supports the body, just not as a primary fuel source.
Today’s carb was a croissant🥐, which isn’t fiber-rich so I’ll be intentional about adding a complex carb later.

A family favorite. Mashed celeriac root with sauteed leeks & garlic.

Celeriac (aka celery root) may not be pretty but it’s a powerhouse root veggie!
It has a mild, celery like flavor and makes an amazing lower carb alternative to mashed potatoes.

✨ Why choose celeriac?
• Fewer carbs than potatoes
• High in fiber for digestion & fullness
• Rich in vitamins like K & C

I mashed it with sautéed leeks, garlic, and real butter 😋 Comfort food with a nutritious twist.
