CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, hands-on technique that works with your body’s natural rhythms—specifically the subtle pulse of the cerebrospinal fluid surrounding your brain and spinal cord.

Given the current political climate, it’s no wonder folks are worried. My clients are reporting an increase in chronic pain, higher levels of anxiety, feeling stressed, and increased difficulty with coping overall.

Now, more than ever, we must take care of ourselves and one another. If you’re struggling with any of the above, CranioSacral Therapy can help.

The CranioSacral system (the membranes and fluid that surround, protect, and nourish the brain and spinal cord) have great influence over the body’s ability to function. When we experience stress and tension, our bodies adjust, compensate, and strain. Over time, body tissues tighten and can produce restrictions in the CranioSacral system. This can create barriers to the healthy functioning of the central nervous system as well as all of the other systems that interact with it.

The good news is that these restrictions can be located and corrected through the healing power of touch. In a CST session, the therapist uses their hands to both evaluate and release the restrictions found, therein rebalancing the environment around the brain and spinal cord. This enhances the body’s ability to self-correct and can provide alleviation from a wide variety of issues such as chronic pain and neurological impairment.
