Does it ever feel like you’re watching your child’s play from the outside? 🔭
For children with autism, solo or repetitive play often feels like a "safe zone." While it might feel right to simply let them be, our Occupational Therapists use a technique called "Push-In Play" to build a bridge back to connection. 🌉 🌈
Check out our Programs Director and OT, Eva Anderson, in action! Instead of just playing beside the child, she is gently "pushing into" their world. By holding a tile and adding it to the child's line, she isn't interrupting the fun—she’s inviting a response.
This tiny "back-and-forth" interaction is the foundation for communication and social success. At CTC, we aren't just observers; we are partners in their play.
We love having a leadership team that is as passionate about floor-time as they are about program growth. 🧡
