Hospital Yojoa Dr. Jenny Brockington shared about her experience serving alongside local partner VER International and their older adults ministry.
“I loved getting to spend time with these wonderful people full of wisdom and generous hearts. They share their stories like living water. I had the privilege to share my own knowledge about healthy eating for those in their advanced years. Don’t worry, I did tell them to eat cake or cookies every day if they want. Just small amounts. The average age was 85 and they earned it!”

Welcome to Honduras, Brockingtons! Drs. Jared and Jenny Brockington have been serving since 2015 in Malawi and Kenya. Dr. Jared (pediatrics) and Dr. Jenny (family medicine) will be serving at Hospital Yojoa along with their two children, Sophia and Oliver.

Our Hospital Yojoa team stays active serving in the community, making a positive impact in the lives of those around them! Team member and educator Emily McDaniel serves weekly in a local public school, dedicating her time and expertise to teaching English to elementary students. Through her efforts, she is helping to shape young minds and foster a love of language learning that will last a lifetime. We are grateful to have her as part of our team!

We are excited to share that last week, Dr. Isaac Hotz, one of the dedicated physicians on our team, completed his six-month tenure at a government hospital in Honduras. This time is a critical part of his medical licensing process in the country and represents a significant milestone not only for Dr. Hotz but also for Hospital Yojoa.
