🐑 Building for the future — one fence post at a time!

This week our farm team and partners worked side by side installing fencing and setting up new sheep pastures on the hospital property. It’s sweaty, hands-on work, but it’s all part of a bigger vision. 🌱

By introducing rotational grazing, we’re caring for the land in a way that allows it to rest and renew — keeping the soil healthy, the pastures green, and the animals thriving.

The more sustainable our farm becomes, the more it will strengthen Hospital Yojoa’s ability to serve patients for years to come. In time, the farm will help support hospital operations—providing food for patients and staff, reducing costs, and contributing to the long-term stability of the mission. Every improvement here helps build a foundation for future care, stability, and hope. 🙌

Hospital Yojoa Dr. Jenny Brockington shared about her experience serving alongside local partner VER International and their older adults ministry.
“I loved getting to spend time with these wonderful people full of wisdom and generous hearts. They share their stories like living water. I had the privilege to share my own knowledge about healthy eating for those in their advanced years. Don’t worry, I did tell them to eat cake or cookies every day if they want. Just small amounts. The average age was 85 and they earned it!”
