THIS IS PART OF THE REASON FOR HIGH HEALTH CARE COSTS! Pharmacy Benefit Managers, or PBM's, are largely responsible for the closure of pharmacies across Texas and America, including right here in East Texas. PBM's are third-party companies that manage prescription drug benefits for health plans, employers and government programs. They are the middlemen. As a result, they have squeezed out your local pharmacy. Many many times paying the pharmacy less than their costs! Small town pharmacies are closing. Jefferson and Hughes Springs no longer have pharmacies. As State Representative, I will fight to reform PBM's like Arkansas and Louisiana, and many other states have done. Leveling the playing field. Small town pharmacies are many communities' only choice in health care and counseling. Vote Chris Spencer for State Representative.
