Made these yummy gf cranberry muffins for our Christmas morning.

Saw a recipe on IG…tried it from memory…tasty!

Frozen cranberries in greased muffin tins, top with brown sugar and cinnamon, then put the batter with orange zest on top!

Better to let cool to get out of the tins and I used orange juice instead of milk for the batter.

Fresh and tart flavor….kind of like mini pineapple upside down cakes! 😋

Why I do what I do…..

My name is Dave Falke, I'm a clockmaker for 55 years here in Kansas City.
After having a rotator cuff injury in 2004, my left shoulder has been increasingly getting worse as the years have gone by. I have tried stem cell therapy soft wave therapy, haven't found much relief until I decided to try massage therapy. Jennifer has greatly helped the mobility of both my shoulders and greatly reducing the pain level in my left and right shoulder.
I started working with Jennifer in late May, she talked about her red light treatment table and Monday I finally got to use it before my massage. Jennifer often talked about how much younger it made her feel, after my second treatment this morning I had a heavy schedule with service calls, I have been struggling after becoming 70 over my being able to keep up the workload mostly on these hot days. Today I was able to function as if I was 35 again! This is beyond incredible, not only physically but mentally as well. So looking forward to my next treatment Friday morning!

Old Injuries Rewire the Brain to Feel Fear and Pain Forever

Trauma may leave behind more than just memories — it can reshape how the brain responds to stress and pain.

Scientists have shown that mice previously injured exhibit extreme fear and renewed pain when re-exposed to stress, even without new harm.

This heightened sensitivity lasted for over six months and occurred on both injured and uninjured sides of the body.

The effect was linked to corticosterone, a stress hormone, and TRPA1, a receptor known for producing burning sensations.

Interestingly, while both were needed to trigger fear, long-term pain only relied on stress hormone signaling.

The study highlights how trauma rewires pain and fear circuits differently, opening pathways for targeted treatments for chronic pain and anxiety disorders.
