Need to de-stress this weekend? Drop by our office anytime between 1 and 3 pm on Saturday to try NADA ear acupuncture - a treatment that promotes calmness, better sleep, and relief from stress and emotional trauma. Our very own therapist Katie Hauge, along with Amy Todd, will offer these sessions for $20, using a series of five needles that are placed in each ear. You'll sit quietly for 20 to 45 minutes, with most clients reporting that they feel pleasantly sleepy and peaceful. Elise has opened up her books for the first time in a long time, and has extensive training to guide women through the seasons of life - particularly in pregnancy and postpartum.

Talking to your baby can help you process things too!

In the first year, babies learn to focus their vision, reach out, explore, and learn about things around them. They are also developing bonds of love and trust with their parents and others as part of social and emotional development. The way you cuddle, hold, and play with your baby will set the basis for how they will interact with you and others. Here is a positive parenting quick tip to help you support your baby during this time:

TALK TO YOUR BABY. THEY WILL FIND YOUR VOICE CALMING.

Our Story

“Holding Space” is a term we often use in the helping profession. It can be hard to explain and to teach to others, but when it is done just right- the therapist and the client know it. It’s to be present without judgment, to not only walk with the client on their journey but to help hold their “stuff” along the way. It’s trust, understanding, mothering, and it’s a skill. This skill comes naturally to me, as it does for many skilled clinicians and it is the best tool we have to help client’s get better faster. So, this is what we do. We help hold the “stuff”, walk the walk, and heal wholly.

Being a parent is hard – but I don’t have to tell you this. I understand the unique challenges that we face as we adapt to our new roles and face new obstacles we didn’t anticipate having to face. This is why we believe it is necessary to treat the whole person, not just the symptoms. We are working on expanding our service offerings to include collective care such as: yoga (including pre and post-natal), nutrition/parenting/group support, as well as referrals to other providers that offer wellness services.

I specialize in perinatal and women’s issues, utilizing a Holistic/Integrative approach to counseling. I provide empathetic care for clients, based on their individual needs. You will feel safe in an environment that will foster exploration and growth. Helping others to live a happy and healthy life is my true passion. I’ve been working in the mental health field for 8 years and it hasn’t felt like “work” at all. I’ve worked with women and families experiencing anxiety/depression, loss, trauma, adjustment challenges, and relationship issues. Although, I work with a wide variety of clients, working with moms, couples, and moms-to-be is my specialty.
