There is no such thing as an addictive personality.
A recent study explains why and how science supports the whole-person approach to recovery Project Turnabout has used for over 50 years.

Read the blog to learn how brain chemistry, genetics, stress, and trauma work together and why understanding this matters for recovery.

If you’ve ever wished you had a plan to get better,

For people afraid to step away

Many people worry they can’t afford time away.
But untreated struggles usually take more time than treatment ever will.

Short-term support can stabilize everything else.
You don’t have to do this alone.

Most people who go to treatment were still functioning.
They were working. Parenting. Showing up.
They just knew something was getting harder to hold together.

You don’t have to wait until everything falls apart to get help.
You don’t have to decide forever.
You just don’t have to do it alone.

If this video feels familiar, that matters.
📞 Reach out. We’re here.

When someone walks through our doors for treatment, many arrive with almost nothing. Your donations allow us to provide hygiene products and other essential items that restore a sense of normalcy, dignity, and self-care at a time when life often feels overwhelming.

This holiday season, help Project Turnabout offer a fresh start by participating in our Dignity Drive. We're seeking donations for men and women's hygiene products. You can drop off or mail donations, or visit our website to donate online to our Caring and Sharing Program.

Research shows that having basic hygiene items reduces stress and increases confidence, helping people engage more fully and consistently in treatment.
