Being in nature isn’t always about the view at the summit. 🏔️

Sometimes it’s about slowing down enough to notice what’s under our feet—the moss, the dirt, the tiny lives moving quietly around us.

Connection doesn’t always come from the highest point, but from being present right where you are. 🌿

Teaching wilderness medicine with Institute for Wild Med never gets old. I love sharing these skills, swapping stories, and laughing way too loud when someone in class drops an unexpectedly hilarious comment.

My dog, however, would like it on the record that being woken from a perfectly good nap is not part of the curriculum 🐕💤
Grateful for students who make teaching this fun.

Share the news! Grants Pass has the FIRST certified forest therapy trail in Oregon AND in the entire PNW! Let's celebrate our awesome new certified trail!

You’re invited to the dedication and opening of the newly certified Forest Therapy Trail at Fish Hatchery Park!

The EcoRECOVERY Trail is now officially certified through the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy—and we’re proud to share that it is the FIRST certified trail in the state of Oregon and the ONLY certified trail in the entire Pacific Northwest!

A certified forest therapy trail is a specially designated path within nature, assessed and approved by organizations like the Association of Nature & Forest Therapy (ANFT), designed to facilitate slow, sensory-rich experiences (forest bathing) for healing, stress reduction, and deep connection with the environment.

These trails prioritize safety, biodiversity, accessibility, and thoughtful design (like gentle slopes, water access, varied plants) to support both guided walks with trained guides and self-guided exploration, using sensory "invitations" to engage people with nature.

This global certification was made possible through the incredible support of our community partners including everyone who has come out to our monthly events.

Come celebrate with us and check out this amazing trail and the beautiful new signage, and grab a cupcake before you leave!

And stay tuned—new additions are coming soon, including benches and self-guided forest therapy signs and brochures.

See you at the trail head!

Even better—join us for free guided forest therapy walks on the last Sunday of each month.

Have questions or want to book a private guided forest therapy walk? Reach out anytime at info@ecorecovery.health

There is a quiet kind of peace that arrives when you stop forcing and start trusting.

When your breath softens, your shoulders drop, and your life begins to feel aligned instead of rushed.

Living your purpose doesn’t always feel loud or dramatic. Sometimes it just feels like calm. Like finally being where you’re meant to be...

Stepping into nature is one of the most powerful ways to recharge your mind. 🌿✨
Fresh air, sunlight, and green spaces help boost dopamine—the “motivation and feel-good” neurotransmitter—leaving you calmer, clearer, and more energized.

A quick walk outside, touching the earth, or even listening to birds can shift your whole mood. Never underestimate the therapy waiting right outside your door. 🍃💚
