We are so excited to spotlight our very own Suzanne Peterson, LMFT! Suzanne's therapeutic approach is integrative and tailored to the unique needs of each individual. She brings a warm and inviting energy that helps to create a safe space for healing and restoration. She specializes in trauma-focused and body-based therapies, Internal Family Systems (IFS), holistic wellness, Mindfulness-Based Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Suzanne's areas of focus include addressing grief, substance use disorders, body image issues, and weight stigma. She is passionate about working with teens, young adults, and adults.

Suzanne is passionate about providing comprehensive and empathetic care, fostering a safe and supportive environment where clients can embark on their healing journey. Outside of her clinical work, she finds joy in gardening, needlework, crocheting, spending time with family, and exploring nature.

Rising Phoenix Counseling Services is happy to announce our newest addition to our team Laura Oswald, LPC! Laura is an SOU graduate who is excited to get back to serving Southern Oregon!
Her counseling style is described as working in a compassionate, empathetic, inclusive, and trauma-informed. She believes that each person has the right to be treated with dignity and respect. Her goal is to provide a safe and supportive space where clients can feel heard, be able to discuss things that can be difficult to give voice to, set goals, and learn skills that enable them to make positive changes in their lives. She is excited to work with adolescents and adults of all genders. Her ideal client might be dealing with issues such as living with the effects of trauma, depression, anxiety, low self esteem, LGBTQ+ related concerns, relationship issues, difficult life transitions, and living with chronic illness and pain. She currently has immediate openings for telehealth.
Current insurances accepted: BCBS, Pacificsource, Jackson Care Connect, Allcare, OHP Open Card, and Cash Pay. She currently has a waitlist for MODA & Aetna.
Modalities: She draws upon modalities including client centered therapy, mindfulness- based therapy, strengths- based therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, internal family systems, and somatic experiencing.
