How do you say goodbye to someone who was never there?

Not all beginnings are gentle.
Some of us learned to build from the open space parents should have filled. We learned to turn uncertainty into roots, and grow anyway.
I wasn’t given a map,so I learned the shape of my own path.

What felt broken once slowly became something steady, something mine.

There were spaces in my story that felt too quiet for too long, because you weren't there.
But I filled them with my own voice, my own becoming. I built my own family without a blue print.

And that has been enough.

I learned to hold myself with the care I once searched for from you. To grow something soft and strong in the same breath.

And that is a kind of peace I have today.

It's time for you to bloom...

Where you came from yesterday does NOT dictate where you go tomorrow.

And the only thing that matters, is where you are today.

Connection is the correction.

Today’s EcoRECOVERY gathering was a powerful reminder that healing doesn’t happen in isolation—it happens in relationship. With ourselves, with each other, and with the natural world around us.

Nature has a way of softening edges. It invites presence, quiets the noise, and creates space for authentic connection. Out here, titles, pasts, and labels fall away—and what’s left is our shared humanity.

In these spaces, people from all walks of life come together. We walk side by side, we listen, we laugh, we reflect. And in doing so, we begin to repair something deeper—our sense of belonging.

One participant said it best today:
“I met and had good conversations with people who wouldn’t give me a second look on the streets.”

That’s the power of this work.
That’s the power of nature.
That’s the power of connection in recovery. 🌿
