As temps rise, don’t forget what your dog walks on. Pavement and asphalt can get dangerously hot - fast.

🐾 At just 125°F, paw pads can burn in 60 seconds or less.
🐾 At 135°F, it takes only 30 seconds.
🐾 By 150°F, serious injury can happen almost instantly.

When in doubt, do the 5-second hand test. If it’s too hot for you, it’s too hot for them.

We used to live in Austin and know the flood-ravaged areas well. It's normally a wonderful place where kids and adults alike could leave the hustle and bustle of the city behind and enjoy spending time in the peace and quiet of the Texas Hill Country. Our hearts break for those who lost their lives and all who are affected by such a tragedy.
