Obesity and diabetes is mainly caused by a combination of 3 factors.

1. lack of exercise
2. excessive consumption of carbs from refined sugar
3. excessive consumption of carbs of refined grains

Don't be fooled into artificial, unnatural, synthetic sugars as a solution. They cause more harm than regular refined sugars

My advice, take it easy don't try unreasonable cold turkey diet adjustments, drastic diet plans usually never work. slow and steady wins the race. a gradual approach is always the best path.

Here is a simple gradual plan, u need to do all of them together to work properly

1. drink more water gradually increase each day, add one cup every per week. for example. you already drink 3 cups daily, for 1st week drink 4 cups, week after that 5 cups, then week after that 6, 7, max out at 7-8 cups depending on your height and weight), it will fill you up, which will serve two benefits: decrease cravings/hunger and u will have less room in your stomach for the sugar and grains, and hydration is critical for every system in your body, so it will improve overall health

2. reduce sweets (high refined sugars) in week 1 by 20% week 2 by 40% week 3 50%, 60%, 70% maybe just stop at 80%. you should have some sweets in your life and if u are walking properly you will burn it and it wont be stored as fat and you will still lose weight and avoid diabetes inshallah

3. reduce breads/rice (high grains and bread has refined by sugars) in the same fashion as described above for sweets.

4. start walking gradually (5 min a day for a week. then 10 min a day for a week, then 15, 20,30 etc)

5. Don't be like the new WEF posterchild secretary of health of the united states.

Drink a lot of fluids, soups, Tangerine 🍊, pears🍐, cherries🍒 ( because it nourish the kidneys and heart, in addition, is it prevents one from losing unnecessary fluids from the body Don't eat a lot of food during these hot days it taxes the Heart too much). Watermelon 🍉, kiwis 🥝,lemon 🍋 ( however, it has a lot of acid like oranges), cucumber 🥒 ( or it's water) likewise, coconut 🥥 or it's water, grapes🍇(red is better for weak blood or energy), 🍏🍎 apples ( green is better in the summer, so one won't sweat a lot, but the red ones are better for diabetics). One must eat these cold /cool fruit with a date or two to protect the stomach.
