Kaila Kuhn from Boyne City

We’ve all been on the edge of our seats watching our very own Kaila Kuhn hit the world stage in the 2026 Winter Olympics, competing in women's aerials.

This Boyne City athlete finished sixth in the qualifiers and secured a spot in the top three during her first final before making us proud again by advancing to the superfinal, where she ultimately placed fifth. Notably, Kaila accomplished all of this back-to-back, as heavy snowfall pushed all events into a single day, a true display of Northern grit.

Bible Study with Dr. Caroline Stern at The Brook of Big Rapids.

They meet every Thursday from 10–11am in the theater and enjoy studying the Bible, sharing discussion, and growing together in faith. Residents have been meeting for a couple of years and would warmly welcome any new members from The Brook or the Big Rapids community.
