🌸🐰 Spring Fling Fun! 🐰🌸

What an absolutely hoppin’ good time we had at our Spring Fling today! From bunny races to bunny darts and even a few rounds of “bunny granny pants” (yes, it was as hilarious as it sounds 🤭), we shared so many smiles and laughs together.

A very special and sincere thank you to Nichole and the incredible Hospice of Michigan team for going above and beyond—providing delicious treats, fun Photo Booth props, and extra helping hands to keep up with all of our wonderfully “wild” games. We couldn’t have done it without you!

Days like today remind us how special these moments are—and how important it is to keep the fun going. 💕

Our game “Don’t Steal My Eggs” quickly turned into “steal them back if you can!” 😂 Rivalries formed, eggs were stolen (and stolen right back!), and a few very dramatic side-eyes were given when Trisha had to make someone return their stash (rules are rules, after all😬)

In the end, there were no hard feelings, lots of laughs and everyone left smiling with hands full of their well earned loot🙂🥚🍫

We are so grateful for Chandler and his continued dedication to our residents!

Chandler, a student at Kirtland Community College, first joined us last year through Grayling High School’s Student Senate—and we were so lucky to have him return again this year! From calling bingo numbers to sharing laughs and meaningful conversations, he has truly gone above and beyond.

The connections he’s built with our residents are so special, and it’s safe to say they look forward to every visit and the moment they see him walk through our doors.

Thank you, Chandler, for your kindness, consistency, and the joy you bring to our home💚 You make a bigger impact than you know!

Congratulations are in order for Resident Care Specialist Sarah and her family on the arrival of her newborn son, Owen, born February 6th, 6 pounds 13 ounces, and 19.5 inches long. Ryder is enjoying his new role as big brother. We welcome Owen to the Northern Pines family. 💙 He is the cutest bundle of Joy! 💙

Due to the weather and the ongoing impacts from the storm, unfortunately we will have to postpone our St. Patrick’s Day Shenanigan Stroll that was planned for today. ☘️

We are currently working on coordinating schedules to find a new date that works for everyone. As soon as we have that figured out, we will be sure to keep you all updated.

🎉🎂 Happy Birthday to our favorite funny man, Jack! 🎂🎉

The weather outside may be cold, icy, and downright frigid… but inside we warmed things up celebrating- Jack style! Lots of laughs, plenty of smiles, and maybe… just maybe… a piece of cake or two. (Okay, let’s be honest… probably more than two…but who’s counting anyway? 🍰😄)

Jack always keeps us laughing, and today we were happy to return the favor by celebrating him! We hope your birthday was as sweet as the cake and as fun as you make our days, every single day!

Just a quick update for families and friends ❤️

We want to let everyone know that we are all safe and doing well here at the facility. We do still have power and everything is running as normal.

If you’ve been trying to call, our phone lines are currently down, so unfortunately calls aren’t coming through at the moment. Please know that residents and staff are safe, comfortable, and being well taken care of.
