2025 was a beautiful year for us.

We lived every day.

We have healed, we have grown.

We still grieve, we still cry, we still wonder what might have been —

We are all happy.

There have been growing pains and healing pains.

Anger and frustration have shown up in places where sadness and tears should be, but he’s learning how to cope one day at a time.

Months continue to pass by, kids continue to grow, adapt and thrive.

Through it all, we have been loved, guided and stretched.

Healing is never easy, but it is possible.

It’s also possible to live with joy, even on the dark days because there is a plan for each of our lives.

It is good.

Just wanted to pop in before the end of the year shenanigans start popping!

Kids are all doing great, successful Halloween — candy stashes are still going strong.

First quarter of school is down for the count, grades are rocking.

Little two are busy and more independent every day.

Lastly, if there’s anyone not sick of my books, I have two new ones available on Amazon.

We are still waiting on our 501c3 status, but the nonprofit part is official with the state of Montana 🥳

I’m so excited to get this thing off and running and tell everyone all about it!

The primary goals for Dark Horse Adventures include:

- Scholarships
- Equipment (Track Chair/Huckleberry Hiker) given to one Montana wheelchair kid per year
- Education on pediatric neuro rehabilitation for health care professionals in the state
- Retreats for men and women
- Eventually a summer camp for special needs kids

We are currently funding the scholarships with the funds we made off the memorial ruck this year. We will have to do some recon to figure out how to fund the rest, but I know God will make it happen.

I am absolutely stoked to be able to start giving back to this amazing state we call home💚

Weston is heading back to Valley View to wrap up elementary school and Wakes is returning to Lourdes for 5th grade.

It was a great summer but we’re all ready for school, me probably more so than the kids😏

We hope everyone is enjoying their summer so far!

Last week, Wakely celebrated her 11th birthday — she had a great one!!

A couple days later, Weston was awarded his very own equipped raft through a grant Eagle Mount submitted him for. He was stoked to put it mildly.

Boys are living their best lives.

July 21st, we held the first annual Weir Warrior Memorial Ruck up at Showdown Montana. It was an absolutely perfect day. We had 55 individuals show up to conquer the climb, a dozen people who gave us their Saturday to help, and nice cool temps. The mountain was gorgeous, it was an unbelievable day honoring Tyler and Wyatt. Wakely and Weston competed in the kids event — Weston made three laps on his track chair before he got a little too chilly. All in all, we managed to raise $4,500 for the Weir Memorial Scholarship and are already looking forward to the ruck next year — June 20, 2026 😎

Hip-hop-hooray, last day of school for the Weir kids!! We are ALL ready for summer!!

Wakes will be going into 5th grade and Weston is headed to 6th. Both of them have progressed and grown so much over the last school year. I’m beyond proud of both of them and so gratefuleful I get to be a part of their stories.

Last week was Wyatt’s 8th grade graduation and 14th birthday. It was really rough for this momma’s heart, but his class went above and beyond honoring my boy. They prayed for his and his daddy’s souls, dedicated a plaque for the tree that they planted for him the year after the accident, gave me an envelope of their memories of him and did a memorial slide show for him at the end. There wasn’t a dry eye. His light and love are still shining bright.

The twins are on the tear and loving every second of sunshine in the summer time!!

I hope you all have a beautiful, blessed summer.

About a month ago, God put something on my heart — an idea for another book.

This one isn’t a story or manual, it’s simply a collection of truths I’ve learned over the last 40 years….most of them in the last four.

Truths I wish I would’ve known at 20, they would’ve helped tremendously over the years.

Happy middle of winter, folks!

Weston has been reading for quite awhile, but I never thought to record him until today.

He’s doing really well and steadily progressing in school.

Wakes is fantastic, per usual.👸

Twins turned 18 months today.🤼

Eagle Mount Great Falls got Weston up on the hill at Showdown Montana last weekend — we all had a blast — he’s scheduled to get up there a few more times before the end of the season.

Yesterday, we celebrated what would’ve been Tyler’s 39th birthday.

In honor of him and Wyatt, we are hosting a ruck competition this June at Showdown Montana — one of our favorite places.

We would love to have anyone who loves a challenge sign up to help remember our guys.

If physical challenges aren’t really your thing, please share with someone who loves to push the limits.
