I just finished a 28 day full organ detox and ate great the entire time. Results can be achieved just by eating the right foods to help decongest the liver, encourage the body to release the toxins it has stored and support your body to process those toxins out, while staying away from sources of toxins as much as possible. I even lost a healthy average of 3lbs each week of the cleanse. My digestion is better, my sleep is better, my energy is improved and now I'm thinking of doing a fast followed by a special diet to enhance autophagy in my body to rejuvenate all of my cells. From what I've been able to learn it even has a direct effect on your cellular mitochondria which not only produce the energy for you cells they also play a major role in the regulation of your neurotransmitters so I'm very hopeful this helps make my fibromyalgia symptoms less intense by better regulating my serotonin, melatonin, dopamine, and nor-epinephrine.
At the same time I will continue with my iodine supplementation to detoxify from my dental fillings (mercury) heavy metal toxicity which should also help with the suspected halide imbalance affecting my central nervous symptom, i.e. my fibro-fog symptoms, by displacing the chlorine, bromine and fluoride from my modern environment that has taken the place of iodine in my body's structures which is negatively affecting my cognitive function.
