It’s been a while since i’ve added movement to my yoga practice. I felt the need to slow down and be still through meditations and prayer. Felt so good to do this hip opener today and get my body, mind, & heart to flow together!!

I can see clearly the grass in the meadow and the outlining trees, but the thing I am being called toward and up to is a little foggy and cannot quite see what the next step is. We all have a choice though, many actually.
We can choose to sit back and stay in the comfort of the meadow, were all things are visible.
We can choose to begin to walk to path up only to let fear keep us from continuing the journey.
Or we can choose to walk with Jesus up the mountain, unsure what each step forward brings, but knowing (like really really knowing) He has only goodness planned for us when we choose to Trust in Him. To Trust in the invisible.
There will be struggles along the way, a fallen step or journeying off the path a bit, but the refining (growth) happening brings us back to the path and farther up we go.
Finally feeling an inner peace and confidence that this place you are going far outweighs sitting in the meadow. The view from the top is vast. Am I there yet? The Lord replies, “No, but keep moving forward- up— each day. You are getting closer.” See He ushers and cheers us along too. He wants goodness from us and for us. So will you sit in the meadow or will your journey with Him? What are you struggling through? Are you doing it alone?

Have you ever woken in the middle of the night unable to return to sleep? I can’t even count the nights I’ve laid awake anymore. Feeling lost in the wilderness of life. But something shifted for me a few months ago. Instead of being irritated or laying awake pondering the many reasons I could be enduring this sleepless night once again. I prayed a simple prayer. “Lord, guide me through the night, I lift my thoughts to you, bring me peace so tomorrow I am rested and ready to serve you Lord.”

Psalm 63 was written by David when he was alone in the desert, hiding from his enemies, but longing for a friend he could trust. He cries out to God, I thirst for you. Anyone in his circumstance would be having trouble sleeping. Evil can come in any form, he temps us in our weakest areas and when we least expect it. God can strike down the enemy, the final victory already belongs to God and those who trust and believe in him.

If you find yourself in the wilderness, turn your thoughts to God. Use this time for reflection and worship, see how God has guided and helped you along the way. Trust in Him.

One of my FAVORITE oils of all time is Juniper. The first time I ever visited Young Living’s Mona Farm they were distilling it. Huge piles of it were just outside the area and when you walked by it’s heavenly scent filled my nose. Each time I smell it now I am taken back to that moment of the beautiful farm, planting seeds (being a part of the future harvest), and taking in the fresh air of Utah. I found this sprig on our hike this weekend and I carried it with me. Smelling it and remembering why I chose to be a part of such an incredible company along my wellness journey.

I stayed up late reading and got woken up early by the LO. Instead of staying sleepy and lazy, because it could totally be a jammies day, I decided to keep my commitment to move daily. It’s easy to give up and not succeed in something only measured by yourself. I feel so much better when I’m moving, my body is functioning at a high pace than the day before, my mood is better, and I have sustainable energy levels. The last one is pretty important when momming our youngest who is constantly on the move. Also, I believe in myself and my mission to live a healthier lifestyle every day for myself and for my kids.

Back at it again today except I lost my partner half way through but that’s okay! Her hamstrings weren’t feeling it today & my hips needed some movement and release from our lazy Thursday afternoon. Sometimes you have to listen to your body and know when to continue and when to move onto something different. Feeling grateful she will come join me in moving her body for better health. What’s mentally stopping you today from your workout?? I challenge you to move past it and get on your mat or head to the gym or just simply go for a walk. Whatever it looks like- find movement. It’s Friday!!

Hello all!! It’s been a relaxing say around here and why not pamper ourselves a little. It’s Thursday after all. Bringing you DYI face mask:
1 tbsp bentonite clay, 1 tbsp honey, 1tsp apple cider vinegar, 3 drops Geranium, 2 drops Tea Tree, 1-2 drops Vetiver, enough water to make it a paste. Let sit for 15-20 minutes.

So Why Vetiver?
🌾 Vetiver essential oil’s aroma is earthy, eclectic, and exotic.

🌾 Vetiver is produced from the steam distillation of the plant’s root, the oil has a woodsy scent.
🌾 It was used in ancient times, and the oil’s popularity still exists as an ingredient in colognes and fragrances—especially for men—as well as in soaps and moisturizers.

Yesterday I made an apple pie for my sweet husband for our 4th anniversary. It taught me a lot about they years we have put into our marriage thus far. I know seems pretty odd that baking a pie could do such a thing. But trust, it did. Head over the my blog (link in bio) to read the full story. Apple Pie Diffuser recipe: 2 drops of each EO pictured & smells just like apple pie so you can have it everyday without the hard work to make one! @ Norman, Oklahoma

Day 3/60: Today was less about movement of my body and more about healthier food choices. Eating right and drinking adequate water is key to feeling better along side physically moving the body. I stretched and listened to the areas that needed a little more time and focus (i’m talking to you quads & triceps!) Sweet potato with Chipotle chicken and Kale for dinner :) delicious!!

Feeling a little overwhelmed as things start to open back up? (being a parent, teacher, cook, cleaner during without any sense of relief?) now it’s a juggle between what’s safe and what’s not. What’s right for your family is probably different than what’s right for mine.

Sometimes as a stay at home mom, I feel ill equipped. I get overwhelmed by the day to day hum of life and forget what my purpose is; not just as a parent, but as an individual too.

When I look at these photos of my girls, I can see the fruits of labor by their love of one another, curiosity, and for life itself. I am reminded that God feels the same about me too.

God prepared me for motherhood before I ever became a mom and He believes I can do this. When the days get long and my vision is blurred, reading this passage From Romans is a great way to take a step back and see and know my purpose again. God gives us ALL the Grace! Do what you feel is best for you and your family even if it’s not what your friends are doing.
