March 2nd is World Teen Mental Wellness Day! πβ¨
Today is for to raising awareness about teen mental health, because β let's be honest βbeing a teenager is really tricky & tough part of your life! Between big life changes, big emotions, and big pressures, this is also the time where a lot of mental health struggles/conditions like anxiety, depression, and attention disorders start to show up.
π According to NAMI, 1 in 6 U.S. youth aged 6-17 experience a mental health disorder each year β and 50% off all lifetime mental conditions begin by age 14.
It can be hard to know if mood changes or signs of stress are just a phase or something more serious. Fortunately, hope exists & help is available -- whether that's through talk therapy, teen support groups, school- or family-based support, medication treatment, or other forms of recovery/healing π
