Did you know that there are three types of stress that can lead to interference with your nervous system? ⚡️
In the chiropractic world, they are often referred to as the 3 T’s: Thoughts, Traumas, and Toxins.
Trauma represents the physical stress that our bodies undergo, and is probably what most people think about when it comes to chiropractic! 🤕 And, while pain is not all chiropractic is helpful with, it certainly is effective with removing discomfort.
Physical stress does not just refer to injuries, excessive sitting/standing, sleeping in awkward positions, or having bad posture. 💻 Physical stress can actually happen right out of the womb during labor and delivery.
Our bodies undergo a lot of physical stress from day 1, 👶🏼 and if that stress is left unattended, our bodies are super smart and will start to make some changes to help us be as functional as possible. However, this can lead to having to unravel even more dysfunction down the road.
