It’s kind of wild out there in the real world right now. It’s a lot for our nervous systems sometimes. If you need a little peace inside your body right now, breathing exercises might help.

When your nervous system feels overwhelmed, your breath is a gentle place to start.

You don’t need to do this perfectly.
You don’t need to push or force change.

Try one of these simple breathing resets when your body feels tense, wired, or unsettled:

• Extended Exhale
Inhale for 4 • Exhale for 6–8
(Longer exhales help the body feel safe enough to soften)

• Physiological Sigh
Inhale through the nose, take a small second sip of air, then slowly exhale
(Repeat a few times to release built-up stress)

• Hand-on-Heart Breathing
One hand on your chest or belly, slow nose breathing
(A quiet reminder of support)

• 3-Breath Reset
Notice tension • Allow softening • Lengthen the exhale

This isn’t about calming the mind.
It’s about letting the body know it’s okay to let go.

So what does massage support for perimenopause look like? It’s not a different kind of massage, a different modality. It’s what I already do every day. Myofascial. Slow. Intentional work.
Massage support is just extra consideration for the changes going on in the perimenopausal body. Maybe for someone who is experiencing hot flashes or finds their body’s temperature running a bit hotter than usual, it looks like:

•not turning on the table heat
•using a cold towel on the back of the neck or an eye pillow from my fridge
•turning the fan toward the table
•opening the patio door a crack
•maybe throwing on cooling sheets and a lighter blanket
•using aromatherapy like peppermint for that cooling sensation, lavender that helps to calm the nervous system, cedar wood that can help with grounding after a hot flash, or a blend that can provide overall support.

And this is just one area that we can tailor to your specific perimenopause support needs.

60-minute massage — $90 (previously $80)

90-minute massage — $135 (previously $120)
