Screen time can be helpful when used with intention. With a little structure, it can support learning and reduce frustration for kids. Here are some ways you can do so:

• Choose apps that build language, problem-solving or fine motor skills.
• Watch with your child and talk about what is happening.
• Use screen time as one part of the day, not the whole plan.

But screens are only part of the picture. Research shows that outdoor play has a powerful role in supporting healthy development, especially for young children. Time spent outside can help strengthen communication, social skills and daily living routines, even for kids who also use screens.

If you are looking for playful ways to support your child’s coordination, try a few of these easy activities at home:

1️⃣ Set up a simple obstacle course with pillows, tape lines or cones.
2️⃣ Play throw and catch with a beach ball for easier success.
