World Down Syndrome Day (WDSD) is observed every year on March 21st across the globe. 💙💛 The date (3/21) was chosen to represent the three copies of the 21st chromosome—also known as Trisomy 21—that individuals with Down syndrome have.

Crazy socks were chosen for WDSD because chromosomes look like socks under a microscope. It’s a statement that celebrates differences and embraces the beauty of individuality. Wearing bright, bold, or mismatched socks is a fun and simple way to start conversations, raise awareness, and show support for individuals with Down syndrome.

Join us in honoring the incredible individuals who make our community stronger every day! Rock your craziest socks with pride and share your pictures in the comments below. 🧦✨
