Help us welcome Christina Marien, APNP, PMHNP-BC, to our growing team!!

***Now accepting new patients for medication management***

Christina comes to us with over 17 years of nursing experience, with her treatment experience spanning from diverse backgrounds including emergency care, hospice and behavioral health. Although she will work with any population, she has a special interest in working with vererans and older adults. Here’s what Christina has to say about the experience she brings to The ATT Center:

“I am a board-certified Psychiatric–Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) licensed in Wisconsin with 17 years of nursing experience. My background in emergency care, hospice, and behavioral health has shaped my compassionate, holistic approach to mental health care.

I earned my Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Chamberlain University, specializing in Psychiatric–Mental Health Nursing. Throughout my nursing career, I have worked with individuals from diverse backgrounds, supporting them through mental health challenges, life transitions, and recovery.

I believe healing begins when people feel heard, understood, and respected. I strive to create a supportive, non-judgmental environment and take a collaborative, evidence-based approach to care, with a strong focus on treating the whole person.”

We are pleased to welcome Deanna Brown, APNP, PMHNP-BC, CNM to our team!!

***Now accepting new patients for medication management and women’s health issues***

Deanna joins our team with dual board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Certified Nurse Midwife, meaning she specializes in mental health treatment across the lifespan, being quoted as saying “I’ll work with anyone ages 2 to 99’”. Here’s what Deanna has to say about the experience she brings to The ATT Center:

“As an integrative provider that offers whole-person treatment and therapeutic modalities, I often find it helpful to utilize herbal supplements, vitamins and minerals as part of a comprehensive treatment plan, or in the event that someone prefers to take a non-pharmaceutical route to treatment.

In addition to my board-certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I am also a specialist in women and children’s health, with dual board-certification as a Certified Nurse Midwife. This translates into the attunement to newborn and child physical, emotional and behavioral development and the early recognition of deviations from these typical developmental patterns. And also, specialty training in women’s health issues and mental health challenges specific to women during the reproductive years, in congruence with monthly hormonal cycles, pregnancy, postpartum and the perimenopausal years.

I also have specialty training in the thorough assessment, diagnosis and treatment of ADHD in children and adults. Diagnosis and treatment of children with ADHD during the school years substantially benefits their learning and self-esteem. Anxiety tends to be very high in children with ADHD and treating the root cause of this anxiety can be incredibly affirming. Later-in-life diagnosis of ADHD in adults often sheds light to patterns and difficulties that have been present throughout life. Treatment can provide answers and clarity, and often a long-awaited sense of calm and focus.”

***Now accepting new patients ages 4 and above for $25 cash pay only***

Rheannon comes to us as a student intern at Concordia University of Wisconsin and already brings a plethora of experience, having worked at both Rogers Behavioral Health and Brain Balance in Appleton. Here’s what Rheannon has to say about the experience she brings to The ATT Center:

“I am passionate about supporting individuals through life’s challenges with compassion, collaboration, and practical tools for growth. As a parent of young children, I value the importance of mental health care across the lifespan and enjoy working with children ages 4 and up, as well as adults.

My previous experience includes working in a PHP/IOP setting supporting individuals with OCD and anxiety in a group-based environment. I have a special interest in working with individuals experiencing OCD, anxiety, depression, trauma, postpartum and pregnancy-related concerns, as well as grief and loss. I have a strong interest in exposure-based therapy and often integrate CBT, DBT, ACT, and solution-focused approaches.”

If you’ve done the work but still feel stuck, there is another way. Ketamine-Assisted Therapy works by opening neural pathways that help you process and release what traditional therapy alone can’t always reach.

At The ATT Center, our approach combines medical safety with therapeutic support—because true healing happens when both science and compassion meet.

“It is what it is” can sound peaceful… but sometimes, it’s someone’s way of saying they’ve given up trying to change what hurts.

It can signal hopelessness, burnout, or feeling emotionally numb.

💬 How to respond:
Instead of: “Yeah, that’s life.”
Try: ✨ “That sounds like it’s been hard — what’s been going on?”
✨ “You don’t have to just accept it if it’s weighing on you.”

Sometimes, the smallest bit of empathy helps someone remember they still have hope left. 💛

Our therapy providers rate common coping mechanisms — the good, the bad, and the “please don’t make this your entire personality.” 😅

Because sometimes laughter is a coping mechanism… but learning healthier ones makes all the difference. 💛
