One keeps you alert, reactive, and ready for threats. The other lets you rest, digest, and heal.
When your spine is misaligned, your nervous system can get stuck in alert mode. Your body physically cannot shift into the deep recovery state you need. You lie there tired but wired. You fall asleep but never stay there.
