🌟 Intern Spotlight 🌟
Meet Zita Taminang, a Doctorate of Nursing student interning with the ADRC! Zita was drawn to this internship as an opportunity to step outside of hospital systems and gain a deeper understanding of how communities educate, support, and deliver healthcare.

Through her internship, Zita is exploring how community and healthcare connect, learning from diverse perspectives, and building relationships with community leaders and providers to better support diabetes education. She’s especially passionate about increasing health literacy and making sure information is shared in ways people can truly understand and use.

Born in West Africa, Zita’s early experiences with limited access to healthcare inspired her to pursue a path centered on giving back. Open-minded, empathetic, and a strong listener, she’s excited to learn what it takes to care for a communityβ€”and we’re grateful to have her as part of the ADRC team! πŸ’™
