Thanks to the generosity and support of our runners, sponsors, volunteers, and push athletes, the Run for Inclusion at the Gate River Run was a meaningful success. Shout out to Johnnie, the St. Johns River monster, for leading the cheering section for the 15K, 5K, and 1-mile teams!

✨ By the numbers:
• 💰 $20,605 raised to support adaptive sports
• 👟 70 teammates ran and walked together
• ♿ 6 push athletes participated, ensuring everyone could be part of the race

Challenge Enterprises’ home office team recently enjoyed a site visit and tour of The Bryan Simpson United States Courthouse in downtown Jacksonville. It was a great opportunity to connect with our team on site and celebrate the meaningful work happening there every day.

We were thrilled to be joined by Megan Richardson of Dynamic Corporate Solutions, Inc., a newly appointed Challenge Enterprises Board Member, whose enthusiasm and support made the visit even more memorable.

We also celebrated some notable career milestones! Congratulations to Elijah Franklin on 5 years of dedicated service, and to Shirley Mayze, who marked her second 1st anniversary with Challenge Enterprises. After a short “retirement”, Shirley decided we missed her too much. We’re grateful she came back for another round. Moments like these highlight the power of opportunity, inclusion, and people who love what they do (even enough to un‑retire for it).

Thank You, Clemson FCA Missions Team!

Challenge Enterprises was incredibly blessed to host 12 Clemson students for three days of hands‑on service and heartfelt connection. From beautifying our spaces and helping prepare for our Nancy C. Keating Golf Tournament to a joyful Friendship Visit with our Day Program and Club Challenge participants, their impact was felt everywhere.

We are so grateful for their time, energy, and servant hearts. Thank you, Clemson FCA Missions Team—we hope to welcome you back again soon!

Challenge Enterprises is proud to celebrate our On‑the‑Job Training graduates—an incredible group whose growth, determination, and spirit continue to inspire us every day.

We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to Kyri King, General Manager at Holiday Inn Express, for her leadership, support, and commitment to creating an environment where our trainees can grow in confidence, skill, and independence. Kyri’s dedication helps turn training into true opportunity.

This program is about more than learning job skills. It’s about opening doors, building dignity, and creating pathways to meaningful employment. We are grateful for partners and leaders who believe, as we do, that everyone is created with purpose and equipped with valuable talents.

Congratulations to our graduates, and thank you, Kyri, for being an important part of their journey.

We are proud to recognize Eric Henderson, Night Shift Floor Tech Supervisor at Fleet Readiness Center Southeast (FRCSE), as a nominee for the Evelyne Villines Award.

Eric’s journey is a powerful example of what’s possible when dedication, perseverance, and opportunity come together. Starting his career through the AbilityOne Program as a janitor, Eric steadily built a reputation for reliability, excellence, and quiet determination. Over time, his confidence grew, his leadership emerged, and his impact expanded, leading to his promotion to Night Shift Floor Tech Supervisor in 2024.

Today, Eric leads by example, fostering teamwork, maintaining high standards, and creating a supportive environment where others can succeed. His story is one of growth, resilience, and leadership that truly makes a difference.

Moments of Gratitude That Matter

Sometimes appreciation arrives when you least expect it—and when it does, it leaves a lasting impact.

Cecille Smith, General Manager of the Hampton Inn Middleburg, shared a powerful reminder this week after receiving unexpected words of encouragement from Vincent. It’s a testament that true impact isn’t defined by title or tenure, but by heart, effort, and how we choose to show up—especially during moments of learning and growth.
