They say it's gonna snow! Just in case you haven't heard yet 😂. And temps will be below freezing for several days. With this prediction, plan to stay home and build a snowman when the temps are not so frigid. Do not travel if at all possible. Get your bread and milk now. Emergency crews will be working around the clock to help us get back to normal so let's stay out of their way and let them do their thing. Be safe!

On this National Law Enforcement Day, we would like to congratulate Allen Phillips as he was sworn in today as the new chief of police for Green Forest. We would also like to express our appreciation to retired chief of police John Bailey for his service in Green Forest for the last 26 years. We are thankful for all of our law enforcement, from Green Forest, Berryville, Eureka Springs, Carroll County, and surrounding areas, who protect and serve our community.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to our founder and manager at Smith Family Funeral Home! We won't tell you how old he is, but we will tell you, no one works harder than he does around here (at least that's what we tell him 🤣). And no one is more passionate about serving our families than Jim. He didn't enter the funeral profession because he was looking for a job, he entered it because he has a deep love to serve families in their hour of grief and need.
