90 minutes of practice is not about doing more. It is about giving your body and nervous system the time it actually needs to shift.

In a 90 minute vinyasa flow we can move through the full arc of practice:

💚 Time to arrive and regulate the nervous system

💚Steady, consistent movement that build strength and circulation.

💚Space for somatic awareness-feeling what’s happening inside rather than pushing past it

💚Pauses for reflection, breath, and integration.

💚And a longer svasana so the body can truly absorb the work.

This month our studio theme is grounded strength.

Not the kind that comes from hustle or burnout.

Not the kind that collapses when life gets heavy.

But the kind of strength that is built slowly through consistent movement, emotional awareness, and nervous system regulation.

The kind of strength that helps you carry your life without collapsing under it.
Throughout class, I will weave in a short dharma talk and gentle prompts to explore:

💚How the nervous system response to effort and rest.

💚How we study our emotional patterns through movement.

💚How strength can feel steady and supported, not forced.

The goal isn’t to perform a practice. It is to build resilience in the body and mind through breath, movement, awareness, and rest.

If you’ve never experienced a full 90 minute flow, this is an invitation to give yourself the time and space your system deserves.

Your nervous system will thank you 💕

Set It Down
Tuesday Morning 5:15am

There is a quiet strength in knowing
what is yours to carry and what is not.

In yoga philosophy, the yama Aparigraha teaches us non-grasping.

Not clinging.
Not tightening.
Not holding more than we need to.

Most of us are unaware of how much we brace;
in the jaw,
in the hips,
in the breath,
in the roles that we have agreed to carry.

This morning’s practice is simple:
Notice what and where you are gripping.
Gently set it down.
Not the responsibility.
Not the love.
Just the strain.

We will practice the effort… and the art of letting it go.
Because gripping is not the same as caring.
And strength is not the same as tension.

Somatic Practice: From Survival to Choice

Most of us do not realize how much we brace.

In the jaw.
In the hips.
In the breath.
In the way we move through a room.

Tonight we practice something different.

We begin with breath.
We orient.
We touch gently and listen.
We pendulate between activation and safety.
We explore boundaries in the body.
We move without performance.
We pause and let the system reorganize.

This is not a workout.
It is a remembering.

Your body knows how to settle when it is not being pushed.

Your nervous system knows how to recalibrate when it is given choice.

If you have been holding more than your share
this is a place to put it down.

Morning Vinyasa: Athas-tiny little Sparks

There is an old Irish word ‘athas’
life hiding in the tiny sparks.

Not joy after the finish line.

Not relief once everything is perfect.

But aliveness tucked inside the ordinary moment.

The warmth in your palms as you press the mat.
The steadiness of breath before the mind rushes ahead.
The quiet strength of your legs holding you upright.

Tomorrow’s 45-minute Vinyasa is a practice of noticing.
We will play with blocks in creative ways…
not to make the pose more impressive,
but to feel it more honestly.
To refine sensation.
To increase awareness.
To find the subtle places where life is already humming.

Because maybe we have been taught
that joy comes later
after the task, the goal, the perfection.

Athas reminds us-
it is right here.

In the tiny sparks.
In the body breathing.
In the simple act of showing up.

SOFTENING: Hips + Jaw

This month we have been exploring softening.
Not collapsing.
Not giving up.
But releasing the effort that was never ours to carry.

The hips hold survival.
The jaw holds the words we did not say.
And when they both unclench…
something deeper exhales.

Tonight’s Yin practice is an unwinding…
of gripping, of bracing, of holding it all together with your teeth.

Guided somatic release.

Subtle movement.

Stillness that is not stagnant but listening.

Rooted in the sutra:
Effort dissolves, and we rest into something larger.

When the hips soften, the jaw remembers.

When the jaw softens, the whole nervous system follows.

Come unclench.
Come unguard.
Come home to ease.

Somatic Yoga is simply slowing down and tuning in.

This month we have been focusing on softening and remembering that we are not broken.

Some places in the body have simply been working overtime holding, bracing, organizing life so that we could keep going.

In this somatic practice we will slow down enough to feel what is underneath the effort.

Through gentle touch, subtle movement, and guided rest, the body gets a chance to loosen its grip, not because we force it, but because it finally feels safe enough.

Softening is not collapse. It is what happens when protection is no longer needed in the same way. Give yourself and you body permission to soften.

Come as you are.

Leave with a little more room to be inside yourself.

Some practices build strength.

Some practices build flexibility.

This one softens the places that learned they had to hold everything.

A heart centered 90 minute vinyasa to unwind the armor, slow shoulder, opening spacious, twists, steady flow, and a long guided rest, reminding the body it is not broken…only protective.

You do not need to arrive open. You only need to arrive.

Heart Centered. Steady. Soft.

This Tuesday morning we will explore sthira sukha the balance of steadiness and ease through a heart-centered vinyasa practice.

A slow, intentional flow with time to feel.

This is a practice of listening.

Of meeting effort with kindness.

Of letting the heart stay open while the body feels supported.

Somatic, trauma-informed, and accessible with options for every body and every morning.

February Full Moon Yin

Under the February full moon, we pause.

Not to strive.

Not to improve.

But to feel.

This heart centered Yin practice offers space for the places we guard, the weight we carry, and the tenderness beneath it all.
Through fully supported longer held shapes, mindful sensation, and nervous-system attuned rest, we allow the heart to be felt, not forced open.

The full moon illuminates what is ready to be seen,
and Yin teaches us how to stay with it gently.

A practice of softness, safety, and deep listening.

You are welcome exactly as you are.

Somatic yoga is an invitation, not a demand.

If you are feeling overwhelmed…
If your body has been asking for something slower…
If rest hasn’t felt accessible lately…

It is an invitation to slow the pace so the body has time to speak.

An invitation to feel from the inside, rather than perform from the outside.

In a somatic practice, we move with curiosity instead of correction.

We pause long enough for sensation to register, for the nervous system to soften, for the breath to become a companion instead of a tool.

There is no rush to get anywhere.
No shape to achieve.
No version of yourself you need to arrive as.

This practice is especially supportive if you’re feeling tired, overwhelmed, disconnected, or simply craving a different relationship with movement, one rooted in choice, agency, and listening.

Somatic yoga offers time to integrate.
Time to notice.
Time to feel what’s already here.

If you’ve been moving quickly through life,
this is your invitation to move with yourself again.

✨ All bodies. All levels. All welcome.

Why 90 minutes?

Because the body does not open on a schedule.

In a 90-minute vinyasa practice, there is time.

Time to arrive.

Time to feel.

Time to move through the body instead of rushing past it.

We move slowly through each series, giving the nervous system a chance to settle and trust. There is space to explore sensation, to choose variations that honor your body today, and to notice what is happening beneath the shape-not just how it looks.

So many of us are conditioned to look for the shortcut:
the quicker class, the faster fix, the “just squeeze it in.”

But healing, regulation, and true connection do not happen in a hurry.

This practice begins with a short pause in breath and gentle movement to ground and orient.

We flow with intention (somatic, trauma-informed) and adaptable for all bodies and experience levels.

And we end with a meditation and a long, spacious savasana, because integration is where the practice truly lands.

If you’ve never tried a 90-minute class, this is your invitation.

You don’t need to be advanced.
You don’t need to “keep up.”
You just need to show up as you are.

This is a place to slow down, reconnect, and remember that peace is something you can practice not something you earn.

✨ You are welcome here.✨
