We recently did an anonymous employee survey and here is what some of them had to say.
The question was
"Out of all of the assisted living communities you can work at, why do you choose to work at Arroyo Gardens?"

"I choose to work at AG because it is not just a community for the residents, but it is also a community for the staff. It is a place that I enjoy coming to everyday. I love working here because I am supported by my manager and my peers. It is a place that allows you to take time when you need it and support your family when you need to. AG is continuously celebrating the staff with the moral calendar. Everyone is acknowledged on their Birthday and Anniversary. It is the little things that matter, and AG makes you feel like you matter. Our ED Amy also has an open-door policy. That alone makes AG different. She is always available when we need her, and she supports us in all that we need and do. AG is one of a kind and I am grateful to work here."

"I choose to work at Arroyo Gardens because of the strong leadership in each department that maintains the genuine care and assistance of the people living/working within our community. When reaching out to any department leader and knowing I can rely on them for help creates security and a feeling of unity within the workplace."

"Out of all the assisted living facilities, I chose to work at Arroyo Gardens because its strong commitment to diversity and inclusion truly resonated with me. The 'Everyone Welcomed' initiative on employee name tags is a powerful symbol of a culture I wanted to be a part of. Furthermore, I was impressed by the facility's reputation for providing a supportive work environment and the emphasis placed on ongoing employee training, which shows a commitment to both its staff and residents. I believe my skills are well-suited to contribute to the high standard of care here, and I feel I can make a meaningful contribution to the residents' quality of life within this specific community."

"This is where I got my certification and I have loved the staff from the beginning. Everyone treats everyone well and it is a fun environment"

"When I came to Arroyo Gardens I was not certified and had no experience. Arroyo gardens opened its doors and helped me get certified. It has helped me grow and learn a lot more than what I expected. Here someone believed in me when I didn't believe in myself and for that I will always be grateful. I am content with where I am at. Out of all the facilities I know of in this area I don't think I would have made a better choice when I first applied."

"When I first started, I chose it based on recommendations from my friends; I think it's a really nice place to work. The programs are excellent, they involve the employees in their activities, and that's what I like most about it."

"AG is one of the cleanest AL's that I've worked in. I like that we have all the supplies we need to get the job done. For the most part, it's a fair environment meaning that management advocates for both residents and employees."

"It is a great place to work; all staff is is very supportive and respectful. Staff is helpful and engaged with residents.
