Community Speech Services We are a private practice located in Green, Ohio. We also contract with local hospitals, schools, and group homes.

We are a private practice in Green, Ohio that provides speech/language services to children and adults throughout the community. We have been serving the Akron/Canton area for over 18 years providing comprehensive evaluations and therapy services in our office, schools, workplaces, and various contract sites. Our professional staff are all certified by the American Speech Language & Hearing Association (ASHA), possess a Masters Degree, and are licensed by the State of Ohio. As speech and language pathologists, we are trained to evaluate and treat children and adults having a variety of disorders. We have the diverse educational and experiential background necessary to treat any type or severity of communication disorder including apraxia, articulation/phonological disorders, autism, receptive/expressive language delays, dysfluency (stuttering), augmentative communication, voice disorders, aphasia, and dysphagia (swallowing disorders). Our reputation is important to us and we show personal concern and care for every patient. Our office prides itself in an "open door" policy where communication between the patient and/or the patient's family is of the highest priority. We hope you are all staying warm and cozy, and invite you to read over our February newsletter!

This month, we provide some insight on how speech language pathologists (aka SLPs or speech therapists) may use various tools and activities to build rapport - a foundation of trust, respect, and connection - with clients and families. (Hint: it also includes having fun!)

Be sure to also check out our fun, FREE speech language activities you can try at home today with SNOW. For even more speech language fun, head to your local library to read our book spotlight of the month: "A Little Spot of Love" By: Diane Alber.
