The GAIL program, in partnership with the Lions Club, is providing free vision and hearing screenings for parents and children in elementary and middle school.

This initiative is designed to encourage children to put down the tech and dive into a fun book with family. The event helps ensure that children and parents can see clearly, read confidently, and build a strong foundation for learning.

Don't forget to pick-up your food today at the distribution located at the Greenbelt Community Center, 15 Crescent Rd., Greenbelt, MD 20770. This is an outdoor event - walk-ups and drive-thru available. While supplies last. Please bring your CAFB card and your own bags to carry items.

In honor of Read Across America, the Greenbelt Assistance in Living (GAIL) program is collecting new and gently used books for children ages newborn to elementary school-aged throughout the month of March. Deadline March 25, 2026.
