The ONLY all female group of OB/ GYN providers in Marin County! At Lizellen La Follette MD, Inc., we offer women comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care. Our goal is to provide each woman with the best and most personalized care possible. We love working with women at all stages of their lives. We enjoy working closely together, providing women with the best that each of us has to offer. Dr. Lizellen La Follette founded her practice in August 2004 based on the belief that each woman deserves warm, attentive, and individualized care. She created an office that is bright, cheerful, and welcoming. As Dr. La Follette’s practice grew, she saw the need to have providers join her who shared her vision of holistic, broad-minded women’s healthcare. Her team includes Lucia Franca, MD and Jeanne-Marie Crowe, CNM. Together they have formed a unique collaborative practice: they are the only all-women’s Obstetrics and Gynecology practice in Marin County. We believe that each woman is on her own journey and that she is best served by making thoughtful, educated decisions for herself rather than having decisions made for her by her health care providers. We see ourselves as partners with the women we serve, providing them with education, support, nurturing care, and choices. To that end, we offer a wide range of integrative services and access to an extensive referral network. We enjoy working collaboratively with many providers, including fertility specialists, acupuncturists, endocrinologists, doulas, perinatologists, chiropractors, urologists, psychotherapists, and others. Serving women from Marin County, San Francisco, the East Bay, and beyond, we have labor and delivery privileges both at Marin General Hospital (MGH) and California Pacific Medical Center (CPMC). Dr. La Follette has privileges at MGH, CPMC, Novato Community Hospital, and Marin Specialty Surgery Center.

Lizellen La Follette, MD, is a board-certified OB-GYN in private practice in Greenbrae, California. She offers women at all stages in life personalized, comprehensive health care, including both low & high-risk obstetric services, well woman exams, STD testing, birth control, menopause support, minimally invasive surgeries, and in-office laser procedures such as MonaLisa Touch and SculpSure.

Educated at Harvard and Case Western Reserve, Dr. La Follette’s professional path includes, as a young adult, doing third-world country advisory work in debt management and international finance at Lehman Brothers. She established her own healthcare practice in 2004 with the belief that all women are on an individual journey and should always receive nurturing, personalized healthcare as well as access to timely, decision-making medical information throughout their lives. Notably, she still continues to welcome new patients and holds complimentary patient learning events at her practice once a month.

Beginning in 2000, Dr. La Follette served as a physician member of First Pregnancy and Delivery (FPAD), now called OB Quality, which is a Sutter Health initiative to continue to improve first pregnancy outcomes for mothers and infants. At Marin General Hospital in 2002, she assisted in establishing the first Weekly Breast Cancer Conference. From June 2015 to December 2015, Dr. La Follette served as a medical advisor to Clue, a German-based startup developing a state-of-the-art menstrual tracker app. She was a co-author of the initial data that was presented as a poster session at the 2016 national ACOG Annual Meeting, helping to roll out their new toolkit SUPPORT VAGINAL BIRTH AND REDUCE PRIMARY CESAREANS. She is also an advisor to the March of Dimes and spoke at their 2016 and 2017 statewide Annual Birth Conferences.
