‼️ATTENTION PUTNAM AND OWEN COUNTY WIC PARTICIPANTS‼️

🔆The Indiana WIC system is currently experiencing an outage and IT is working on it diligently. Some people may not see benefits that should be loaded to their card/app.

📞If you are expecting benefits and do not see them on your app, please give us a call. We will take your name and number and look into your account as soon as the issue is resolved.

💻As of right now, we are unable to access the system so we may not be able to schedule appointments, issue benefits, or replace WIC cards.

🧑🏽‍💻The WIC IT team and our staff are working hard to ensure our clients are helped in a timely manner. Please help us by showing our staff patience as we work through this.

Thank you!!!🤍

We are still in need of new baby items for our community baby shower. If your organization would like to team up and donate please reach out! We will also be at the Putnam County Fair and can answer any questions you have about this event! Stop by and see us!

We are excited to announce that our Annual Community Baby Shower is coming up! This event is to help support families and celebrate all our new little members of the community. We hope our moms can connect with each other and our community partners/local businesses. ❤
In the past our community partners and local businesses always show up and support like no other community we have seen! WIC appreciates your involvement and donations to help make events like this happen. If you or your organization are interested in donating please email Ashley our Breastfeeding Coordinator at arourke@pchosp.org or call Putnam County WIC at 765-301-7380. We have limited space at this time for partners to set up tables at our event but if anything changes we will reach out. If interested you can also provide to us your business info such as cards, brochures or small outreach items so that we can represent those businesses that donate.

We are collecting NEW baby items to raffle off to families during our event. Examples of items we need include:

• Infant car seats/strollers
• Pack 'n Plays (portable cribs)
• Baby clothes (newborn to 12 months)
• Blankets/bibs
• Baby hygiene products (lotions, shampoo, etc.)
• Gift baskets
• Self-care items for moms

Every donation, big or small, will go directly to a local family welcoming a new baby. Your support can bring peace of mind and joy to a family during one of the most important times of their lives!
The staff at Putnam County WIC will be setting a date to come around to local business and collect all donations and take pictures with our partners so we can share our appreciation. You can also drop your donations off during business hours at the Putnam County WIC office if you prefer.

Breast milk and formula each offer unique benefits and drawbacks for infant feeding. Breast milk provides optimal nutrition, immune protection, and digestive benefits tailored to the baby's needs, but requires more time and commitment from the mother. Formula provides a convenient alternative, but doesn't offer the same level of immune support and can sometimes be associated with increased risks of certain conditions.
