In light of recent events, we would like to remind everyone that while technology and social media is so much a part of all of our lives, if you come upon any emergency situatuon please be very cautious about sharing information or images. We never know whose loved one may see the information, even when shared privately. An emergency situatuon may seem minor but could be very serious or even fatal. Would you want to learn that your child or loved one was injured in an accident or worse? Or that your home was on fire? We encourage everyone to please think about what you are posting and the impact it could have on someone else's loved ones.

HELLO GREENE

It’s a great day to be alive BUT what if you need immediate attention and no one is here to respond. Our local ambulance crew is desperately needing additional members to continue the great service that Greene has been fortunate enough to have since 1976! Able bodied people are necessary to keep this service going strong. When you call 911 it is our deepest desire to come to your aid. Today we are asking for your backing by joining the crew. We want to continue to provide assistance to you, your family, your neighbors. Together we can accomplish this but without you the Greene Ambulance stands a chance of not being here in the years to come. We all work, we all have children or outside commitments that require our attention but yet the current crew finds a way to work together to fulfill and enhance our lives by contributing time and energy to this very worthwhile group. You can make a difference in your life and the lives of the residents of this community. Current nurses can join immediately but if not a nurse we will pay for your EMT education. There is a class starting in January. Also if EMT doesn’t sound appealing to you, we are also in need of drivers. Will YOU take an active approach to the well-being of Greene and join us???? Thank you Farm Credit Services of America for supporting your Greene Volunteer Ambulance with your generous grant. With this grant we were able to purchase radios. We will be able to converse with dispatch and Greene Volunteer Fire Department on scene.
